Laura Nye, M.A. CCC-SLP
Laura earned her graduate and undergraduate degrees in speech-language pathology from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI (it’s a real place!). Although she minored in gerontology, Laura absolutely loves working with the pediatric population at Coastal.
Laura has experience working with children and their families who are affected by autism, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), articulation/phonological disorders, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, expressive and receptive language disorders, traumatic brain injury, social-pragmatic communication disorders, executive functioning difficulties, genetic disorders, and those who are AAC users. She has particular interest in childhood apraxia of speech, traumatic brain disorders, and AAC. Laura is also a PROMPT trained SLP.
Outside of Coastal, Laura can be found cooking, traveling, camping, doing yoga, and eating at all the delicious restaurants in Charleston.
