Liz Dunlap, M.S., CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist

Liz has been working as a licensed speech language pathologist since 2009. She received a Bachelor’s degree in film and photography at Hollins University, but decided to switch careers to pursue speech pathology because of her family history of stuttering. Liz, along with her grandfather, father, and uncle received intensive speech therapy for stuttering.  Liz considers her stuttering a gift because it’s what led her to pursue a career in speech pathology. She received a Master’s degree at Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY in 2008. 

She has experience working with children with a variety of communication disorders including: Stuttering, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Apraxia, Expressive/Receptive Language disorders, Articulation Disorders, and Developmental Delays. 

She is formally trained in PROMPT, Augmentative Alternative Communication, and DIR/Floortime.

In her spare time Liz enjoys reading, cooking, listening to podcasts, and going for long walks.
