
Rachel Cousar, MHSOT, OTR/L
Rachel was born and raised in the greater Atlanta area. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in General Health Studies at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and her Master’s of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from Augusta University (Medical College of Georgia).
Rachel has a passion for the pediatric population, and has worked in pediatrics ever since graduating from OT school. She has experience treating children in outpatient clinics and in teletherapy, hippotherapy, and aquatic settings. Rachel has gained leadership experience supervising Level 2 and Level 1 occupational therapy students, as well as educating and giving presentations to colleagues. She has completed a variety continuing education and course work in visual deficits, the Handwriting Without Tears program, Talktools Feeding Therapy, Star Institute of sensory processing courses, primitive reflex integration, and pediatric yoga. Rachel has experience working with a wide variety of pediatric populations and diagnoses, but specifically has an interest in treating children with visual efficiency and visual processing deficits.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys exploring Charleston with her husband, going to Folly beach, eating Mexican food, running, and traveling.
