
Sarah Tubis, M.A., CCC-SLP
Sarah is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she obtained both her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in the field of Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Psychology, in 2011. From there she spent two years working at a residential school for students with severe special needs and behavioral challenges, where she gained experience with ABA (applied behavior analysis) and a variety of AAC interventions (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). Sarah then began working in the Berkeley County School District upon moving to Charleston, SC in 2013, where she provided speech therapy at the middle and high school levels and gained experience working closely with teachers within the classroom and guiding them to help their students with functional communication across settings and activities. Sarah joined the Coastal Therapy team in August of 2015.
Sarah is very passionate about helping children improve their communicative abilities and enjoys working as part of an interdisciplinary team to promote carryover of skills across environments. Sarah has experience working with children, teens and young adults with articulation/phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, expressive/receptive/pragmatic language disorders, genetic disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, intellectual disabilities, TBI, down syndrome, and psychological disorders.
In her free time Sarah enjoys yoga, jogging, cooking, the beach, and spending time with her family, friends, husband, daughter, and dog, Scooter!
