Speech Therapy
What is Speech Therapy?
Speech and Language therapy involves the assessment and treatment of the many components involved in communication and feeding. Speech-Language Pathologists at Coastal are trained to evaluate and treat children with a wide range of communication delays or disorders, including articulation/phonology, expressive (verbal) and receptive (comprehension) language, voice, and fluency. We are also skilled in the evaluation and treatment of social/pragmatic language skills, play skills, oral motor skills, feeding, and swallowing.
Our approach to working with you and your child is dependent upon your child’s personality and needs. We invite parent participation during your child’s sessions, as one of our goals is to empower families by providing information, support, materials, and ideas to foster carryover of learned skills into all of your child’s environments. We look forward to building a strong relationship with your family
